Geberit PE SuperTube
Optimise wastewater stacks in buildings with several floors.
Geberit HDPE SuperTube combines PE pipes with specially designed hydraulic fittings to organise flow and maintain an air passage in the stack. This can reduce service shaft space. It must be designed as a complete system while floors and branch connections are being coordinated.
The roles of Sovent, BottomTurn and BackFlip
The Sovent fitting organises wastewater entering the stack. BottomTurn provides the transition to a horizontal section, while BackFlip supports the return to a vertical run. These fittings have different hydraulic functions. Replacing them with ordinary fittings changes the network principle and requires the design to be reconsidered.
Understand the stated performance
For Geberit HDPE SuperTube d110, Geberit states a maximum flow of 12 l/s and horizontal sections up to 6 m without a fall in the specified configurations. Removing secondary ventilation does not mean eliminating all ventilation. Branch connections, primary ventilation and application limits must follow the system's design rules.
Coordinate shafts and offsets
Identify the floors served, connected appliances, available heights and changes of direction. Assess potential space savings together with other services, structural openings, acoustics and maintenance. Check the connection to the downstream collector as well. Designing the stack does not remove the need to assess the rest of the drainage network.
Build from a validated route
Fix the fitting references and positions on the drawings before prefabrication. Specify supports, joints and inspection access. Any branch or offset change should be referred to the designer. Frequently asked questions
Does a d110 PE pipe alone make a SuperTube system?
No. Performance depends on the special hydraulic fittings and design rules. A pipe of the same diameter does not reproduce the system's operation on its own.
Can all ventilation be removed?
No. The benefit concerns secondary ventilation in permitted configurations. Primary ventilation and appliance connections still need to follow the system design.
Does 12 l/s size the whole building?
No. It is a stated capacity for a system configuration. Branches, downstream pipework and building uses must also be sized appropriately.
