HDPE pipes and fittings
Specify a consistent drainage network, from branch pipe to collector.
Geberit HDPE is a drainage system made of high-density polyethylene. Its outside diameters range from 32 to 315 mm, covering branches, stacks and collectors. Selection concerns the entire network: application, flow, geometry, joints, supports and maintenance access.
Identify the pipe and its dimensions
DN is a nominal size, d is the outside diameter and s is the wall thickness. These values are not interchangeable: Geberit HDPE DN 100 has an outside diameter of 110 mm. Record the complete dimensions and product reference when specifying pipes, fittings or transitions.
Select fittings by function
Bends change direction, branches connect appliances or pipe runs, and reducers connect the diameters specified by the design. Include access fittings where inspection or cleaning will be required. A list of straight pipes alone does not provide the information an installation team needs to build the network.
Match the system to the application
Geberit HDPE serves building and rainwater drainage, including a suitably designed Pluvia system. Industrial uses require verification of the medium, concentration and temperature. Do not apply the properties of these drainage pipes to pressurised drinking water supply. The intended application determines which product documentation is relevant.
Prepare a usable bill of materials
Identify each run on the drawings and associate it with lengths, diameters, fittings, joints and supports. List expansion components, transitions and access points separately. Mark prefabrication zones and wall penetrations. EDIFIS can then review the selection and confirm availability for the individual product references.

- Diameters, lengths and fittings by floor.
- Access points, transitions and supports.
- Construction sequence and prefabrication needs.
Frequently asked questions
Can fittings with the same diameter be mixed?
Diameter alone is insufficient. Check material, wall thickness, jointing method, tolerances and approved application. Use documented transition fittings between different systems.
Which diameter should a stack have?
It depends on connected appliances, flows, height, offsets and ventilation. A design engineer should validate sizing; the number of storeys alone does not determine the diameter.
Is HDPE suitable for every chemical?
No. Compatibility depends on the medium, concentration, temperature and service conditions, including those of seals and fittings. Have the application checked before selecting products.
