Geberit PE (HDPE).
System expertise, from the fitting to building hydraulics.

HDPE is a strategic EDIFIS capability for buildings, roofs and industrial applications. With Geberit PE, our teams connect pipes, fittings, welded joints, hydraulic constraints, prefabrication and logistics to prepare a coherent project-wide solution.

System overview

Light to handle. Robust in the structure.

Geberit PE is a complete PE-HD drainage system with permanently tight, tensile-resistant welded joints.

01

Permanent connections

Pipes and fittings are joined by butt fusion or electrofusion couplings according to site conditions.

02

Structural integration

The system can be installed in concrete or in the ground, subject to applicable structural and technical rules.

03

Suitable for prefabrication

Sections can be prepared and labelled in a workshop before transport to site.

04

Broad range

Diameters from d32 to d315 and a wide range of fittings cover many drainage configurations.

Applications

One technical foundation for several project types.

Sizing, supports, expansion control and any protection must be defined for each project.

Building drainage

Wastewater and soil drainage in residential, hospitality, workplace and commercial buildings.

Roofs

Conventional drainage or a Geberit Pluvia siphonic system following an appropriate hydraulic design.

Industry & laboratories

Technical applications requiring precise checks of media, temperature and operating conditions.

Concrete & ground

Installation in concrete or underground with designed fixed points and technical instructions observed.

Prefabrication

Pre-assembled units can streamline production, logistics and installation on major projects.

EDIFIS project support

From drawing to site, HDPE expertise that supports every decision.

EDIFIS structures technical information, coordinates system selection and helps teams prepare for compliant installation. Final calculations and choices remain subject to approval by the project designers and Geberit requirements.

01

Specification & scoping

Review of uses, constraints, interfaces and performance levels to define the relevant scope for Geberit PE, Pluvia, Silent-db20 or SuperTube.

02

Drawing review

Review of routes, stacks, collectors, openings and special points to identify interfaces requiring coordination or approval.

03

Documented preliminary sizing

Preparation of assumptions, proposed diameters and product data; hydraulic calculations and final sizing are approved by the competent design office.

04

Project bill of materials

A structured list of pipes, fittings, couplings, supports and tools based on approved drawings and each project phase.

05

Prefabrication & logistics

Support in dividing the network into identifiable sub-assemblies, organising prefabrication and sequencing deliveries with site progress.

06

Installation support

Access to instructions, preparation guidance and key watchpoints; technical support or product sessions according to the project and available resources.

Essential data

Key figures to know before sizing.

These values describe the system’s general scope and do not replace hydraulic calculations or installation instructions.

Jointing & installation

Two welding technologies, one continuous network.

The process and tooling depend on diameter, access, prefabrication and site organisation.

01

Butt fusion

Pipe and fitting ends are heated and pressed together to create a homogeneous permanent joint.

02

Electrofusion coupling

Electrofusion is suited to locations where geometry or access makes this method more practical.

03

Workshop prefabrication

Welded sub-units can be prepared, labelled and delivered ready for installation.

Distinguishing the solutions

Geberit PE, Pluvia, Silent-db20 and SuperTube are not the same thing.

They can complement one another, but each addresses a specific function and design criteria.

Core system

Geberit PE

PE-HD pipes and fittings for building and roof drainage and selected industrial applications.

Roof drainage

Geberit Pluvia

A siphonic roof drainage system designed hydraulically as a complete system.

Acoustic requirements

Geberit Silent-db20

A separate system optimised for projects with demanding sound-insulation requirements.

Optimised hydraulics

Geberit PE SuperTube

A complete drainage-stack solution, notably for high-rise buildings, using specific fittings.

Integrated technical file
