A well-equipped bathroom is not defined by the number of accessories. It is defined by how easily a towel, soap or care product can be found. In renovations and new projects alike, accessories deserve a placement drawing before drilling begins. Their positions affect everyday comfort.

Draw a sequence of movements
Start at the basin: wet your hands, take soap, rinse and dry. The dispenser and towel should support that sequence without unnecessary movement. Check actual reach from the normal standing position in front of the basin.
Repeat the exercise for the shower and toilet. A towel behind an open door becomes difficult to reach; a paper holder too far back requires twisting. Test with the people using the room rather than choosing heights from habit.

Check objects in use
Assess a towel rail with the towel unfolded or folded as you intend to use it. Fabric should obstruct neither a drawer nor the radiator. A ring occupies less width, but the way the towel hangs changes the space it needs.

Select fixings for the support
Locate services and have the wall construction checked before drilling. Fixings must suit the support and product instructions. In a wet area, penetrations through waterproofing require appropriate treatment by the installer.
If adhesive fixing is considered, check its intended uses, preparation and permitted loads. It must not be treated as a grab rail. A storage accessory is not designed to support a person’s weight.

Simplify cleaning and refilling
Leave enough room to clean behind a dispenser and remove its container. In a shared bathroom or hotel, also assess ease of refilling. A discreet fixing should not make every routine operation unnecessarily complicated.
Bring all accessories onto one elevation with taps, mirror and grout lines. You can then adjust alignments without sacrificing reach. EDIFIS can confirm finishes and the contents of the selected references.
