A sink’s colour contributes to the kitchen palette, but its appearance also depends on care. Granite composite is not stone cut from a solid block: Deante products combine a mineral filler and resin. Stated resistance does not remove the need to follow instructions for the particular model and cleaning products.
01
Distinguish deposits from damage
A whitish area may be a water deposit; a coloured trace may come from food left on the surface. Before trying numerous products, inspect the mark and consult the instructions. A photograph sent to your adviser with the reference helps identify the right approach.
Do not try several powerful cleaners in succession for an immediate result. Contact time and rinsing are part of the instructions. A surface that withstands ordinary use may still be marked by inappropriate treatment.
02
Establish a simple routine after preparation
Rinse after coloured foods or drinks rather than letting residues dry unnecessarily. For everyday care, Deante’s July 2026 guide favours a soft sponge and an appropriate product, followed by rinsing. Wiping makes it easier to identify what actually remains on the surface.
Organise those actions around easy-to-store accessories: a clean cloth and clearly identified product. If several people use the kitchen, provide the same guidance to everyone. This prevents occasional aggressive cleaning from undoing the benefits of regular care.
03
Treat limescale using the manufacturer’s method
Choose a product explicitly compatible with granite composite and observe the prescribed duration. Also protect nearby components: waste, tap and worktop may have different requirements. A product intended for the bowl is not automatically suitable for their finishes.
Where deposits return quickly, adjust the frequency of wiping and cleaning rather than product concentration. The instructions remain the reference for specific treatments and any protective products offered by the brand.
04
Protect the bowl during demanding tasks
Use a chopping board and a suitable support for very hot containers. Do not interpret a stated resistance value as permission for every impact or prolonged contact. A heavy pan placed carefully does not impose the same force as a dropped object.
For an Andante selection at EDIFIS, request the sink specification, care instructions and compatible accessories together. Keep the exact reference and installation photographs. These details make precise advice easier if a persistent mark causes concern.
Before you decide
- Identify the exact material and reference.
- Rinse residues before they dry.
- Respect product, dilution and contact time.
- Protect the bowl against unsuitable uses.
The essentials
Your questions, our guidance.
Does a heat-resistant bowl accept any scorching pan?
Do not assume so. Follow the instructions and use a suitable support; stated test conditions do not describe every use.
Can tap descaler be used in the bowl?
Only if compatibility with the bowl material is confirmed. Check adjacent components too.
