Part of a pull-out spray’s convenience is determined behind cabinet doors. A hose catching on a bin or bottle makes movement less pleasant, however attractive the mixer. Under-sink storage should therefore be designed alongside the water point, taking the exact hose-guidance system into account.

Draw a movement envelope
On a cabinet section, position the bowl, trap, isolation valves and dishwasher connection. Add the hose route from the mixer instructions. This drawing reveals conflicts that a plan view alone misses.
Do not calculate space only with the spray retracted. The hose or return mechanism changes position during extension. The installer should check movement throughout the permitted travel, without tension or abnormal rubbing.

Understand the system actually supplied
Return and guidance arrangements differ between references. hansgrohe presents sBox as a device guiding the hose inside the cabinet. Its inclusion, version and mounting requirements must be confirmed in the product contents.
Do not borrow a dimension from another sBox generation or a different mixer. The delivered instructions and technical drawing for the ordered reference determine placement. A solution shown in a video is not necessarily the one in your assembly.

Coordinate recycling, storage and maintenance
Position pull-out bins with their travel in mind, not just their closed volume. Also check drawers, interior handles and stored products. An object added after installation can create an obstacle absent at handover.
Keep isolation valves and connections accessible. A compact arrangement should not make every intervention depend on dismantling all the storage. Establish what can be removed easily and what must remain unobstructed.

Test the kitchen as it will be used
At handover, load the cabinet reasonably with the intended accessories. Extend and retract the spray several times, open the recycling unit and operate the spout. Movement should remain smooth in the different positions permitted by the manufacturer.

Why does the spray return poorly after a few weeks?
An object may obstruct the hose, but several installation causes are possible. Remove visible obstacles and have the installation checked against its instructions.
