Several showers may operate at once in a changing room. Selection should account for the network, understandable controls and how a station is returned to service. Choosing only by the visible front often overlooks the future organisation of maintenance.
01
Describe the usage pattern
Specify peak periods, the number of affected stations and possible seasonal closures. This information allows the design office to assess network and hot-water production requirements.
Do not infer system capacity from the stated flow of one isolated shower. Simultaneous conditions and protective functions must be verified for the complete system by professionals.
02
Choose understandable controls
Compare timed push-button, touch-sensitive or sensor operation by product reference. Users should understand how to start, adjust where provided and stop the water without unnecessary actions.
Try a representative station. Record operating effort, access to adjustments and water behaviour. Available functions vary between versions of the same family.
03
Check access before enclosing
Ask how service components are reached and what needs removing. PRESTO documents an opening panel and removable fittings plate for PRESTOTEM 2; examine the exact variant being considered.
Ensure doors, partitions and accessories leave the required access. Ask the installer to identify how one station can be serviced and any effects on neighbouring showers.
04
Prepare the operating file
Keep product codes, instructions, approved settings and a maintenance-parts list. Give each station an identifier to locate faults quickly, especially where different equipment generations coexist.
Cleaning, prolonged shutdown and recommissioning procedures should follow manufacturer documents and site responsibilities. Consult EDIFIS to confirm proposed equipment and identify components.
Before you decide
- Describe peak periods.
- Test selected controls.
- Check real access.
- Identify stations and documents.
The essentials
Your questions, our guidance.
Do all PRESTOTEM 2 showers have the same functions?
No. Check the reference data sheet for controls, supply and protective functions.
Can maintenance be planned after installation?
Organisation can evolve, but access and components should be studied before the layout blocks them.
