In a high-end project, tapware is more than the last accessory to order. It influences the basin design, worktop drilling, wall construction and sometimes the room’s entire decorative language. THG Paris offers a field of composition best approached methodically.
01
Start with the character of the room
First describe the atmosphere in a few words: graphic, classical, organic or more expressive. This intention quickly narrows the choice of collections. Elaborate tapware deserves a surface that lets it breathe; a fine line can accompany a more prominent material.
EDIFIS presents Oyat, Estran, Alose and Obione within the AQUARA by THG Paris selection. Other collections in the THG Paris catalogue offer further design languages. The final choice must concern a precise model and configuration, rather than simply an atmosphere photograph.
02
Draw before selecting the finish
A three-hole mixer has a different presence from a single-lever mixer. Controls take up space, require centre distances and need a compatible mounting surface. On a compact basin, an excessively wide arrangement may unbalance the composition.
Prepare an elevation and a section of the washbasin area. Position the spout, basin bottom, mirror and the hand operating the control. For a wall-mounted solution, the actual finished-wall thickness must be included at this stage.
03
Treat the finish as a material
The THG Paris finish catalogue distinguishes shades and processes that cannot be substituted by appearance alone. For a specific project, compare the finish with stone, wood and cabinet handles under representative lighting. A phone photograph is not enough.
Also consider touch and cleaning. A delicate finish may suit a private suite if its requirements are understood. In a hotel, include the cleaning protocol in the selection and have the chosen model validated.
04
Specify a complete assembly
List visible components, any concealed bodies, the waste fitting and necessary accessories. An appealing commercial description does not always say what is supplied. The aim is a compatible complete assembly before building work fixes the openings.
Prepare your EDIFIS consultation with plans, sections, room quantities and samples. Confirm the finishes available for each model, lead times and order conditions. A luxury choice is also judged by the precision of its preparation.
Before you decide
- Define the room’s design language.
- Draw locations and holes.
- Approve the finish using a sample.
- Confirm the complete assembly and lead times.
The essentials
Your questions, our guidance.
Does every THG Paris collection come in every finish?
Check the exact combination in the catalogue and during consultation. A finish shown on another collection does not guarantee availability for the chosen model.
Can tapware be chosen after the cabinet is manufactured?
That is risky where drilling, spout reach or concealed components are involved. Tapware and cabinetry must be coordinated before manufacture.
