Kitchen

Deante sinks: choose the material, then the right configuration.

Granite or stainless steel, one or two bowls: choose a Deante sink together with its cabinet, worktop and tap.

The sink concentrates many kitchen tasks. Colour matters, but useful capacity, positioning and the receiving cabinet influence daily comfort more. When choosing a Deante sink, start with your habits, then compare materials and models genuinely suited to the worktop.

01

Granite for a coordinated colour scheme

Deante granite-composite sinks offer a mineral presence and colours that can be coordinated with the project. The word granite in this family does not necessarily mean a bowl carved from a solid natural-stone block. Read the composition and instructions for the reference.

With an already veined worktop, a restrained sink colour can calm the composition. On a plain worktop, a contrasting sink becomes a feature. Compare waste fitting and tap too: their finishes are seen alongside each other and contribute to the design.

02

Stainless steel and the working kitchen

Stainless steel can suit kitchens that prioritise a restrained presence and a visual relationship with metallic appliances. Its appearance varies with the finish. Wear patina and marks are not perceived equally on every surface.

Do not choose from an image alone. Examine corners, bowl depth, tap deck and installation type. These properties belong to the model and do not follow from the material alone.

03

One large bowl or two?

A large bowl accommodates bulky dishes. Two bowls separate certain tasks. If you regularly use a dishwasher, ask what is actually washed by hand: oven trays, pans, glasses or vegetables.

A drainer uses part of the worktop but provides a dedicated area. The Andante double-bowl sink with drainer presented by EDIFIS illustrates this arrangement. Check model dimensions, minimum cabinet width and installation direction before adding it to the drawing.

04

Draw the cabinet interior too

The bowl and trap occupy space below the worktop. They may meet a drawer, recycling bin or filtration system. The trap and connections must suit the equipment, including a dishwasher drain where provided.

For care, follow the reference instructions and use products suited to its surface. Wiping after use limits visible deposits. Do not automatically apply a method used for another material to a coloured sink.

Before you decide

  1. Measure the cabinet and available internal volume.
  2. Choose bowls around actual tasks.
  3. Confirm installation method and cut-out.
  4. Coordinate sink, waste fitting and tap.

The essentials

Your questions, our guidance.

Is a double bowl always better?

No. A large single bowl may be more practical for bulky dishes. The choice depends on tasks and space.

Can a sink be installed beneath any worktop?

No. Installation type, worktop material and fixing system must be compatible and approved.
