Sigma70 has a frameless design that makes its surface appear to float. In a contemporary bathroom, that subtle presence can become an architectural detail. To make the most of it, work on the wall background, reflections and clearances around the plate.
01
Give the outline space
The floating effect comes from the relationship between plate and wall. A shelf too close, a strongly contrasting joint or a busy border can obscure it. Draw the WC wall with all its elements to judge that relationship.
A calm mineral surface reveals the outline more clearly. On expressive tiles, choose a position that avoids cutting an essential motif. The plate can remain discreet while holding a clear place in the elevation.
02
Compare glass and metal under light
Geberit presents Sigma70 with glass or stainless steel surfaces depending on the reference. Glass and metal reflect differently. View the plate from several points in the room, particularly when the mirror reflects it.
Dark glass may become shinier than expected under direct lighting. Brushed metal gives a different reading of relief. A real sample is therefore particularly useful when choosing between a luminous presence and a softer effect.
03
Connect the plate to the basin without uniformity
A metal finish can echo the tap, but the plate’s flat format changes colour perception. Compare both objects together. If their match is uncertain, a plate in the wall’s tone can offer a coherent alternative.
With expressive tapware, Sigma70 can play a calmer role. With a restrained basin, it can become more prominent. Dividing those roles prevents every fitting from competing to dominate the bathroom.
04
Distinguish restrained appearance from operation
Sigma70 does not show conventional protruding buttons, but that does not imply touchless operation. Model documentation describes dual-flush control with precision mechanics. Always check the chosen reference’s function.
Confirm cistern and installation conditions, as well as finish care. Some surface treatments apply only to certain variants. Keep access to the plate free for interventions specified by the manufacturer.
Before you decide
- Let the plate outline remain legible.
- Compare glass and metal reflections.
- Approve the relationship with tapware.
- Check operation, compatibility and care.
The essentials
Your questions, our guidance.
Is Sigma70 a touchless plate?
Its restrained appearance does not imply touchless flushing. Check the documented function; Geberit offers other references for that use.
Do all Sigma70 finishes need the same care?
Materials and treatments may differ by reference. Follow the instructions for the selected finish.
