Two or three outlets do not automatically mean all fittings can run together. Choose a shower diverter from the intended uses: selecting a spray, combining outlets or filling a bath. This distinction affects controls, services and required flow.
01
Draw each required outlet
List the overhead shower, hand shower and any bath spout, then draw a line to each. Do not count spray patterns within a single hand shower as separate hydraulic outlets.
Note where users stand to operate each function. The arrangement should be understandable without searching for a handle hidden behind the spray or adjacent fittings.
02
Specify what operates together
Write down the combinations actually desired. A diverter selecting one outlet after another serves a different purpose from controls activating several together; consult the manufacturer’s diagram.
If simultaneous use is planned, have the combined flow requirements and hot-water supply checked. Adding fittings in a photograph does not guarantee comfort in the home.
03
Check the complete control assembly
Match the visible trim to the concealed body and components required for that reference. Button count or similar-looking fronts prove neither compatibility nor operating mode.
Compare stop positions, temperature control and outlet selection. Some products combine functions on one control; others separate them. Request a demonstration or clear diagram.
04
Verify operation at handover
Have the installer test each outlet and authorised combination. Check that labels correspond to the actual connections and users understand how to stop water and change functions.
Keep the complete component list for future service. For an EDIFIS selection in Tunisia, share your intended uses before choosing finishes: this helps identify an appropriate configuration without promising every combination.
Before you decide
- List hydraulic outlets.
- Define desired combinations.
- Validate body and visible trim.
- Test every installed function.
The essentials
Your questions, our guidance.
Do three outlets mean three simultaneous sprays?
No. Check both the product’s permitted combinations and the installation’s capacity.
Is the visible front enough to select a diverter?
No. Body, controls and connections must form a documented, compatible configuration.
