Choosing a whirlpool bathtub includes considering what will remain accessible after the work. A closed surround may complicate an otherwise routine intervention. Before selecting a model, coordinate its equipment, panels and access with the installation professionals.
01
Define the system being ordered
The same bath shape may come with different equipment. Request the complete reference, functions, component locations and corresponding manuals. A photograph of a filled bathtub does not describe its technical system.
Distinguish the bath shell, installed system and separate accessories. This makes quotations comparable without assuming that a panel, waste or headrest is included.
02
Draw usable access openings
Openings must allow the operations described in the manual, rather than merely revealing the pump. Confirm their locations and dimensions for the chosen model before tiling or furniture manufacture.
Check what could obstruct opening: WC, furniture, screen or door. A removable panel is ineffective if another fitting blocks it. Also preserve the ventilation arrangements specified for the configuration.
03
Coordinate the trades
Have qualified professionals verify plumbing and electrical requirements. Give them the same manual, service drawings and finish thicknesses. Connections cannot be designed from a visually similar model.
Also plan the delivery route to the room. Door widths, turns and handling need checking before work starts; technical components are not improvised carrying handles.
04
Prepare handover and maintenance
Arrange a demonstration of controls and user-permitted maintenance. Preserve access after the installer’s prescribed tests; subsequent decorative finishes must not close it off.
Keep the reference, manuals and service contacts. Ask EDIFIS to confirm the documents for the version offered in Tunisia. Cleaning products and maintenance frequency must follow the system actually installed.
Before you decide
- Obtain the exact version’s manual.
- Draw panels in their open position.
- Coordinate plumbing and electrical work.
- Keep maintenance documents.
The essentials
Your questions, our guidance.
Is a small hatch near the motor sufficient?
Only the manual and installer’s assessment can establish the access needed to inspect and remove components.
Can the whole surround be tiled?
The solution must preserve every prescribed access and installation provision. Have the detail approved before closing the surround.
